KIWANIS FAMILY

Kiwanis is a global non-profit organization that unites people from all over the world and from all different age groups. Every year, the Kiwanis family dedicates more than 18.5 million hours to service and raises more than $100 million dollars for local and global causes.

K-Kids

K-Kids is a student-led program in elementary schools that is aimed to develop leadership skills and a strong sense of morality while giving these students an opportunity to serve their community at a young age. They assist the elderly with chores or organize community food drives. They serve their schools, raising funds for sports equipment and extracurricular activities. 

Kiwanis

Kiwanis is a global organization whose goal is to create better communities by making lasting impacts on the children of the world. To reach more people and have a greater impact on our community, Kiwanis clubs sponsor other Kiwanis family clubs and provide finances and leadership guidance to said clubs. They stand with more than 550,000 members from K-Kids to Key Club to Kiwanis and many ages in between in 80 countries and geographic areas. Each community has different needs, and Kiwanis empowers members to pursue creative ways to serve the needs of children, such as fighting hunger, improving literacy and offering guidance.

Builders Club

This part of the family was designed for middle school students. The goal is to have these members focus on their passion for service while becoming tomorrow’s leaders through their volunteer experiences. Builders Club empowers them to be themselves, work together with peers and implement plans through action. Last year, more than 45,000 middle and junior high school students in 18 nations were involved in this Kiwanis-family program. Through their projects that ranged from fundraising for HIV/AIDS prevention in Africa to recycling drives to cleaning up parks, they developed leadership skills while working with friends to help others in need.

Key Club

With thousands of clubs in 38 countries, Key Club is an international student-led service organization that provides high school students opportunities to serve, build character, and develop lasting leadership skills. In partnership with their local Kiwanis club, Key Club aims to fulfill the four core values: leadership, caring, character-building, and inclusiveness. High school student members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities, such as cleaning up parks, collecting clothing and organizing food drives. They also learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district and international levels.

Circle K

Currently in 19 nations, Circle K International is the largest student-led service organization for college students. Circle K boasts a membership of more than 13,000 collegians on nearly 550 campuses worldwide. Embodied by its tenets of leadership, fellowship, and service at the club, district, and International levels, Circle K continues to grow through service to the world’s campuses and communities.

Aktion Club

This the only service club for adults living with disabilities. Members develop leadership qualities and self confidence and discover their own talents as they use these qualities to help others in their communities. Club members learn to be mindful servant leaders who pause and welcome each new experience with non-judgment and acceptance. There are four skill sets club members master through involvement in Aktion Club. They include: social and emotional skills, growth mindset, habits of mind and happiness habits.
